The Setting
Wedding Chapel by the Sea offers a selection of lovely locations from which couples may choose. The Chapel itself was home to an active Myrtle Beach church congregation for more than thirty years. When that congregation outgrew the quaint facility, the church was reinvented as the Wedding Chapel by the Sea.
Wedding Chapel by the Sea has two beautiful and unique chapels, both featuring antique hardwood pews, lovely floral arrangements and the warm glow of candlelight. The Ivory Chapel seats up to seventy guests. The Blue Chapel, perfect for an intimate wedding, seats up to eighteen guests.
Wedding Chapel by the Sea offers brides and grooms all the romance of the southern garden, complete with a charming gazebo along side a picturesque waterfall, moss-draped oaks and blooming wisteria and azaleas, to name just a few of the features of the Chapel's lovely grounds.
In addition, couples can choose to be married by the sea on the Grand
Strand's beautiful beachfront. While wedding chapels are not permitted
to conduct weddings on the public beach within the City of Myrtle Beach,
weddings may be conducted on a handful of privately-owned portions of
the beach within the city. Wedding Chapel by the Sea has made a special
arrangement to conduct oceanfront weddings in two of these special locations.
The beach, the chapels and the gardens all offer beautiful settings for the weddings performed by Wedding Chapel by the Sea.
And for those couples who want to adhere to the tradition of the groom not seeing the bride in her wedding attire before the ceremony, Wedding Chapel by the Sea features a bridal dressing suite, with ample room for the bride and the groom's last minute preparations.
