Brittany Danielle Begley of Vinton, Virginia and Michael Thomas Shockey of Roanoke, Virginia were united in marriage on August 31, 2013 at Wedding chapel by the Sea in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Dr. Terrence Grainger officiated. A reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Barry Dean Begley and Angela Hartwell Begley. Bridesmaids included Sarah Chocklett of Roanoke, Virginia, Chelsea Bayne of Salem, Virginia and Jordyn Lewis, Kaidyn Lewis, and Lexi Lewis all of Blue Ridge, Virginia.
The groom is the son of Clinton and Patricia Shockey and David and Teresa Frydrych. The groom’s attendants included Kyle Carson of Rathbone, New York, Christopher Malone of Roanoke, Virginia and Patrick Byrd and Ryan Shockey both of Vinton, Virginia.
The bride holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and is employed at Wells Fargo as a loan document specialist. The groom attended the University of Northwestern, Ohio and holds a degree in diesel technology. He is employed with Carter Machinery.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico the couple will reside in Vinton, Virginia.
