The following policies apply to all services rendered by Wedding Chapel by the Sea

No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations or changes made fewer than twenty eight days prior to the date reserved. Note: The Cloud 9 and Platinum Packages require at least 60 days notice for cancellations and changes.

Wedding Chapel by the Sea assumes no responsibility for the application or issuance of a valid marriage license, though staff is happy to assist the couple with this process. Wedding ceremonies may not be performed in the absence of a valid South Carolina marriage license.

In the event of acts of God, technical or human error or any other eventuality that interferes with the ability of Wedding Chapel by the Sea to deliver any or all of the services expected, Wedding Chapel by the Sea assumes responsibility only up to the actual amount paid for the particular service.

In the event of inclement weather, Wedding Chapel by the Sea reserves the right in its own discretion to cancel or reschedule outdoor functions. Any surcharge paid for an off-site location will not be refunded in the event that inclement weather requires that the wedding be relocated to the Chapel.

The wedding service will begin at the time reserved. The bride and groom should arrive thirty minutes prior to the beginning of the service. Failure of a bride or groom to be prepared for the service to begin as scheduled may result in cancellation of the ceremony and forfeiture of the package price. Because of the risk of disruption to other weddings, guests should arrive no more than 10 to fifteen minutes prior to the beginning of the service.

Due to space constraints, Wedding Chapel by the Sea can only permit the bride and one attendant in the bride’s dressing room and the groom and one attendant in the groom’s dressing room. All other members of the wedding party and guests should arrive already dressed for the ceremony.

Only Wedding Chapel by the Sea staff can conduct services. There may be occasions when an independent officiant can be accommodated to contribute to the ceremony,, but special arrangements need to be made in advance and approved in writing.

The bride and groom can choose music for their wedding from a variety of selections made available by Wedding Chapel by the Sea. Due to copyright laws, no other music, in any form, is permitted.
