Latwanya Evette Matthews of Nanjemoy, Maryland and Kevin Antoine Thomas of Washington DC were united in marriage on June 21, 2014 at Wedding Chapel by the Sea in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Dr. Terrence Grainger officiated. A reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Denise Swann and James Matthews. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Cobey, Eugean Cobey, Nellie Matthews and William Matthews. The bride’s attendants included Erika Carroll Posey and Janae Matthews of North Carolina. Also, LaThrease Simms of Nanjemoy, Maryland and Brianna Maloney of Waldorf, Maryland.
The groom is the son of Barbara Lutzio and Anthony Thomas. He is the grandson of Ann Lutizio, Cleo Thomas, William Thomas and Joseph Brown. The groom’s attendants included Sean Short, Jr. and Ma’el Short of Waldorf, Maryland. Also, Carlos Daniels of Washington DC, Melody Proctor of Nanjemoy, Maryland and Steve Sloan of Columbus, Ohio.
After a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina the couple will reside in Washington DC.
